 What we are learning:

Literacy: next 5 words (was, said, his, that, she)

Numeracy: patterning and counting to 10

In You and Your World: being respectful, safe and kind.

 Information Items/Dates to Remember:

·        Teacher PD afternoon on Tuesday, Sept. 26th (no school for students in the afternoon – 11:00 dismissal time).

·        Terry Fox celebration at school will be Thursday, Sept. 28 – donations are being accepted.

·        Friday, Sept. 29th - Orange Shirt Day to honour children who survived Residential Schools.

·        Please note if there are any changes to your child’s going home arrangements, we MUST have a note from you or a phone call to the office before 1:00 on Mon., Tues., Thurs., Fri. and 10:00 on Wed.  Thank you for your cooperation in this regard.

·        Please do a lice check on your child’s hair each night.

·        Let me know of any allergies. There is a no nut/seafood policy at our school.

·        Children are welcome to bring water bottles to set at their tables. Also, they may bring hand sanitizer to use before they eat.

·        If your child wants to go to the Breakfast Program in the mornings, let me know and I will send a note home for you to sign.

 Homework

·        Please check your child’s homework bag each night for any important information from school.

·        Return your child’s homework bag each day.

·        Label any money being sent to school so the teacher will know its intended purpose.

·        Practice your new 5 sight words and read 1 good fit book each night.
