Dear
Families,
What
beautiful fall weather we have been having! The students worked really hard at
school last week and the 2016-17 Murphy Crew is a nice little bunch of
learners. Thanks for all you have done to prepare your children for his/her
exciting school adventure.
What we are learning:
This
week we will be introducing the letter sounds for “T t” and “I i”. We are also learning the printing strokes
“plop (straight line down)”, “vroom (straight line across)”, and “boing”(the
curve found in letters like n, m, h, r). In math, we will start a unit on
building, naming, and extending patterns of 2 or 3 elements such as red, blue,
red, blue, red, blue or dog, cat, chicken, dog, cat, chicken. In you and your
world, we will continue to work on the Zones (blue, green, yellow and red) and
start talking about using our WITS.
