Memo to Garden Creek Parents and Guardians

Good Afternoon Everyone,
Happy Halloween!
Clubs in the School- if your child is interested, we have a few clubs going on this month:
- Chess club will start next Monday for grades 3-5 ( Mr. Levesque is running this)
- Hot Wheels Club is on Thursdays for grades 3-5 and Fridays for grades K-2 ( Mr. Slack)
- Ultimate Chicken will rotate through for various grades 3-5 levels on noon hours
- Boys and Girls choir continues on Weds ( boys), Thursdays ( girls) , K-2 Choir is on Tuesdays
Grade 5 Student Volunteers - some of our grade 5 students are taking on volunteer ( leader) roles in our school this year. They are either volunteering to help with Home and School events, stage crew for concerts and assemblies, helping in a Phys. Ed capacity, helping on the playground with outdoor activities, delivering hot lunch and milk, helping in the K-2 classrooms for indoor play times and helping with morning announcements. This is just getting underway with some work still needed to get it fully functioning.
Student Forums - as part of increasing student voice, I will be meeting with reps from each class to discuss what aspects of the school they would like to see changed - all suggestions welcome! Our first monthly meeting will be on Tuesday Nov. 7th
UNB Reds Night! - UNB is again hosting the Southside Schools Night on Nov. 10th. Please see the attachment.. GO REDS!!!

Thurs . Nov 9th - Remembrance Day ceremony - 10:30 am all welcome!
Fri. Nov 10th - Professional Learning Day - full day .. no school for students / UNB REDS Southside Schools night
