Memo for Garden Creek Parents and Guardians

There are many thanks to be noted today!

Interviews : thank you to all our parents who came out to discuss your children’s progress with our teachers. We look forward to more open communication in the remainder of the year and celebrating successes! If you did not have a chance to meet, it is never too late! Just call the office or email the teacher to set it up. Please remember that we are always open to meeting with you at any point of the year as needed.

Fundraising Efforts! Thank you to our Creeker Community for a huge success at our Bazaar! Well over 10 000 dollars were raised and fun was had by all! Thank you especially to our committee, especially our leads, for their amazing work and enthusiasm!   We also note that the Acorn fundraiser brought in $1000 along with movie night at $620.  These monies will go to rejuvenate our playground and for other items and initiatives needed in our school.

Playground Update – The updating to the playground has gotten underway this week. A new swing set, and funnel ball will be installed as well as the necessary borders and pea gravel. The older tether ball poles were removed along with the old swing set.

Physical Education Note from Mme. Plourde – This month we are working on a unit in gymnastics. Grades 3-5  Students are asked to balance on different types of equipment. This week , a helmet will be required for certain balance boards, which is mandated in the curriculum document. Helmets will be provided, but if you prefer that your child bring their own from home, this is acceptable as well. Thank you.

Wreaths and Poinsettias –   Dates for pick up at the school are as follows: Dec 3 from 10 – 11 and 2-4    Dec 4 from 11 – 1 . Thank you to Julie Werner for her Christmas work!

Chapter’s Nightnext Tuesday, December 3rd , is a chance to get some shopping done at Chapter’s and to support our school. 15%  of  all sales from 6-9pm go directly to our school. Our beautiful grade 3-5 choir will also be performing, so come on out for a festive night of shopping and listening to carols. The choir will perform at 6:00 pm.
