Global George is Selling Rafikis

During Parent-Teacher interviews and the last week of November, Global George is selling Rafiki chains. What are Rafikis?

-Rafiki means “friend” in Swahili.-The Maasai Mamas (Kenya) bead them and they are beautiful. Two GSMS teachers actually went to Kenya and beaded with the mamas and saw how these are making a difference in their lives.Beading gives them a job with good income.Beading them also sends their daughters to school. It costs money for girls to go to school after grade 8 in Kenya.

They are multifunctional chains that you can wear as a bracelet, necklace, anklets etc. There are 6 different colours, each represent a pillar of sustainability for a community.  Please help support Global George in this campaign. They make great Christmas gifts.

Please contact: lise.martin-keilty@nbed.nb.ca if you would like any and you can arrange pick up. They sell out fast so don’t wait too long!
