University of King's College Update

This is how the University of King’s College will also continue to work with New Brunswick students and counsellors in order to move applications forward using the “Credit” or “Enrolled” results on final transcripts.

The University of King’s College and Dalhousie University have a joint Faculty of Arts and Social Science and Faculty of Science departments. Many of our policies align with one another, including policies developed taking into consideration COVID-19.

As outlined at the beginning of the COVID-19 period, the University of King’s College will honour any existing admission offer that a student has already received.  For applicants who have yet to receive a decision on their application, we may decide that more information is required to determine if admission requirements have been met.

Applicants who have not yet received an admissions decision, and who have received a note of “enrolled” on their transcript will be contacted and asked to provide additional information from their teacher or school, when possible. This information will be used in addition to the student’s academic history in the subject to make an admissions decision.  The same may be required for students with a note of “credit” on their transcripts who are applying to programs with competitive enrolment.

Information that can be used to determine the student’s performance in the course can include:

-unofficial midterm grades

-unofficial predicted final grades

-emailed statements from teachers that describe the student’s performance in the course (achievement of course outcomes and readiness for post-secondary study)

Please direct all final transcripts and any supplemental information to me directly at tara.wigglesworthhines@ukings.ca when this information becomes available.

If you have any questions, please never hesitate to reach out to me directly.
