Universite de Moncton

  1. Student for a Day:
We have created an online model for our Student-for-a-day program, and it has been very popular with prospective students. If students ever show interest in the Université de Moncton and would like to learn more, they can sign up by clicking on this link: https://www.umoncton.ca/visite. Also included is a document with more information that you can share with students. During these visits, they will be able to:
    • Speak to professors, department heads, and university staff
    • Meet with Isabelle Bujold, the Groupe-Pont coordinator
    • Get one-on-one time with agents and University students where they get to ask any questions that they may have
    • Get a full-on a guided virtual tour of the campus

You can also have a look at it here: https://www.visiteumcm.ca/.

  1. Roméo-LeBlanc Academic Excellence Scholarship:

One scholarship will be awarded to the student with the highest average graduating from an English School within Atlantic Canada. This scholarship will be calculated based on marks from grade 11 and the first semester of grade 12. An application with transcript of your marks from grade 11 and the first semester of grade 12 must be received before the last day of February. The bursary, if the average is above 90%, will be of the value of the full-tuition fee for all 4 or 5 years of the student’s program.

  1. Transcripts:

Please ensure that all students that have applied or are planning on applying send in their grade 11 as well as their first semester of grade 12 transcripts so that we may continue or complete the analysis of their file. At the Université de Moncton, we will accept school transcripts by e-mail as an official transcript IF it comes from a school counsellor or a member of the school’s administration in Atlantic Canada. Transcripts can be emailed to admission.cdem@umoncton.ca

  1. English placement test:

All students at the Université de Moncton must complete a mandatory English course as part of their program, unless, they are exempt after completing the placements test, or are in the two-year science diploma (DSS) where the English course is optional in the second year, or have completed IB English with a mark of 4/7 or higher.

To know if they need to complete an English course or are exempt and can replace it with another course in their schedule, they must complete the placement test. This test will be available via their university CLIC account that they will have access to once they activate their email and MANIWEB accounts. Also included is a document with more information that you can share with students. If you or your students have any questions regarding the placement test, have any questions, you can communicate with the English department here : anglais@umoncton.ca
