​Good afternoon parents.

I have sent home a copy of the new social studies' project. I have asked the students to go over it with you. It is in French but they can certainly explain it to you. Once they have done this, please sign the first page. Students will work on this in class with week but they will also have to do some at home. It says that it is due next week but of course it will depend on how things go in class. I want to use the mark for this project as part of the report mark. I will keep track everyday of their work so it will be important to work hard and to keep up with their notes. All work will be placed in a blue folder. If for some reason the assignment is not complete by the end of next week, I will only mark the parts finished for the report card. We will continue after the reporting period.

As the topic is about culture and different generations I encourage students to ask you questions about your generation. I hope students enjoy this assignment. They should learn a lot and it will give them a break from the textbook.
