​Good morning parents.

I just wanted to give you an idea of what we PLAN to do next week in French class. We are currenlty reading a short story, Louisette. The main objectives for this story is to work on reading comprehension in French,  to further develop their vocabulaire and to generate great discussions in class. We will also practise our written skills in French as we work on a few activities in class. I have divided the story in 4 sections. We have completed the first one and we will start the second one today. *I would also like to continue working on the past tense, but it won't be part of major lessons...just reviewed/introduced as we see those verbs used in context.

Please encourage the students to reread the story, to talk about it and maybe even write short summaries of each section practising the use of the new vocabulary and even the past tense.

I would like to give them a short evaluation at the end of next week when we finish part 3, perhaps on Friday November 2nd .... we shall see. Again the best way to prepare is to engage in class discussions and to review the story/vocabulary at home on the weekend/next week.

Homework???

- reread the story

- review the notes taken thus far

- maybe write short summaries to practise using these new terms

- complete the note-taking sheet for part 2
