​This week we have been working on our Speaking and Listening Strand.  Students have been giving One-Minute Speeches on a variety of topics.  The main idea behind the exercise is simply to get the students used to public speaking, and having some success in doing so.  The speeches are delivered at their desks in a low-risk environment.  We will be doing One-Minute Speeches from time to time throughout the year; each time with increasing degrees of difficulty.
