NBTAP Summer Work Program - March 17 Deadline

Applications for the 2017 NBTAP Summer Work Term have been open for a month and there has been a low response from the Grade 10 and 11 students at our school to date. This means that there may be 6 unfilled NBTAP summer placements in our region.
Could you please support NBTAP School Champions in ensuring that all Grade 10 and 11 students have seen our new NBTAP
Could This Be You? video available to view and download here: https://vimeo.com/198878948
There are only eight days left until this year’s NBTAP application deadline on March 17.

STEAM Expo 2017

On Saturday, March 18, 2017 Anglophone School District West will host the 10th annual STEAM Expo at Nashwaaksis Middle School. This year promises to be another terrific Expo in the areas of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics.

You may notice that there is an 'A' which has changed our event from STEM to STEAM! We are very excited about this change and would like to tell you a little bit about it.
Professionals who practice and study fields of science, mathematics, engineering and technology don't always rely on intricate laboratory procedures to convey their findings. Often, people who have breakthroughs are so passionate about a topic, they will create models, shoot videos, build structures, or even create a visualization that relates one topic to each other. This blends the lines between science and art such that the way that we present our passions for science may look like art.
VENUE: Nashwaksis Middle School
DATE: Saturday, March 18, 2017

Technology Education allows learners to evaluate their strengths and interests in career choices.
