Park Street School Orchestra

Practice-A-Thon

Information Sheet

Your Practice Earns Money for the Park Street School Orchestra Program!

Find sponsors or pledges

Start by contacting your friends and family: your parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and anyone else you can think of. Ask them to pledge a certain amount for every minute practiced (ex: $0.10/minute) or a pledge a flat donation (ex: $25). Use the Sponsor Sheet attached to track your pledges.

Keep track of your practice time

From February 6th through March 3rd, keep track of your hours practiced on the Practice Log attached.

Collect Money

At the end of the Practice-a-thon, you will need to collect your donations. Turn in to Mrs. Benson your Sponsor Sheet, Practice Log, and total money collected by March 13th.

Win Prizes

There will be prizes for the most minutes practiced and the most money collected. The section with the most minutes of practice time (averaged, so the larger ensembles do not have an automatic advantage) will win a pizza party!

The sections are:

Woodwinds

Brass

Percussion

Beginner Violin A

Beginner Violin B

Beginner Violin C

Beginner Violin D

Senior Violin

Intermediate Violin

Cello
