Friendly Reminders About Park Street Safety & Winter

snow_flake_2.pngHello Park Street Families, We appreciate all of your effort this fall in ensuring our drop off and pick up's are safe and efficient.  Please be reminded that drop off's in the morning can take place along Longwood Drive, at the traffic circle on Park Street, or in the front of the school starting at 7:50.  PLEASE REMEMBER THAT THE FRONT OF THE SCHOOL IS FOR  DROP OFF ONLY.  If you wish to come inside with your child at beginning at 8:10 please park in the parking lot.  We continue to ask that everyone practice patience and caution when dropping our children off.  Please refer to our parking brochure and student handbook for all pertinent information
As well, a reminder that all students must go home or to their caregiver's location immediately afterschool.  Students are not permitted to stay at school on the playground after dismissal unsupervised.  Once they return home and make contact with their caregiver, if they choose to return to Park Street to use the city park, that is acceptable, as guardians have given permission for this and are now responsible for their child's safety.
We ask that all families ensure that we have the most up to date contact information and phone numbers.  As winter weather hits, we may find ourselves with unexpected school closures throughout the school day and want to ensure all of our students are dismissed safely during these situations.
Please ensure your children are coming to school each day properly dressed for the weather.  Now that winter weather is upon us, we want to ensure that everyone is wearing the right clothing to have fun on the playground.
