​Hello families,

Thursday we will be discussing Orange Shirt Day, which we will be observing this Friday, September 29th. Orange Shirt Day began in 2013 as a way to recognize First Nations students who were taken from their homes and sent to Residential Schools. The signifigance of the orange shirt comes from the story of Phyllis, a young girl who had her favorite new orange shirt ripped away from her on the first day fo school.
