​Hello PSS families!

It's hard to believe that September has already come to an end - time flies! Below are the homework items and weekly updates for this week:

• Reading 15 minutes per night in French
• Practicing basic facts (using xtra-math.org or using flash cards)
• This week students will be bringing home a self-assessment of their learning habits for the month of September. They will also have some data from ClassDojo to help them reflect. Please discuss with your child, sign and return the form so we can measure their progress!
• If there are any last minute DFS orders, please send them in ASAP.
• October is Awareness month at Park Street. During this month we will be focusing on being aware of our feelings to help make positive choices. We will also be focusing on how our actions impact ourselves and others.
• Monday is Picture Day - say cheese!
• Monday we will also have a presentation on Diversity and Inclusion
• Tuesday is library day - please return any library books so they can be exchanged
• Wednesday I will be working on a project with the PSS math committee. Mme McMurtie will be in for the morning. 
• In literacy we are reading biographies about Community Leaders and focusing on identifying important details. Students should begin thinking about a leader they would like to write about for their end-unit project.
