​This week in Grade 5 Benson :

• Reading 15 minutes using a book from home or the site Razkids: https://www.readinga-z.com/
• Math: Practicing basic math facts with Xtra-math or flashcards.  
• French: We are finishing up the unit of “Ma famille” and students will be completing the good copy of their “Ma famille” books. If you have Halloween pictures at home, students are encouraged to send/bring them in to present to the class.
• Music: We have been learning the song “On Ecrit sur les Murs” by Kids United, they are a French group and have a lot of great music on Youtube.
• Our school will be beginning to use Fresh Grade as a consistent approach to communicating information and learning with parents. Keep an eye out for an invitation later this week.
• Wednesday is Take Me Outside Day. We will be headed outside with Kinderworld to plant trees, please remember to dress for being outside!
• Wednesday is also World Polio Day. Please wear purple to show your support to help end polio.
• Picture re-takes will be happening Thursday.
