Hello grade 5 families!

Can you believe December is already here!?! This will be a busy month with lots of activities and learning to get wrapped up before the break. Here are the homework items and reminders for this week:
  • Reading 15 minutes per night in French - a reminder that you can ask your child to draw or describe something they visualized
  • Xtra-math: Many students ​still do not have their basic addition facts memorized! This is where many students are making mistakes when it comes to adding larger numbers.
  • December is Community month at PSS. We will have an assembly Monday afternoon to kick-off our monthly ARCC focus.
  • Please return any library books for Tuesday.
  • This Wednesday our class will be participating in the Our School Survey. This is an opportunity for students to give feedback about how they feel about their learning environment and how we can improve our school.
  • There will be a Sock Hop Fundraiser hosted by the Student Council Thursday at second recess. Admission is $2 and all funds raised will go to help support the new emergency homeless shelter in Fredericton. 
  • ​The Rights Respecting Club will be doing a hat fundraiser this Friday. Students can pay $1 to wear their favourite hat all day!
  • Tickets for the upcoming Turkey Dinner can be purchased at the cafteria or online using School Cash.
  • Please send in any forms for the Kids Shopping Blitz before this Friday

  • Friday, Dec 21st: Sock Hop Fundraiser ($2)
