​Hello grade 5 families!

We had a great time getting to know one another last week and getting back into routine. Here are few reminders and updates for this week:

• ​Data Collection forms: There are a handful of students who have not yet returned their data collection forms. Please do so ASAP.
  
• School Fees: If you have not yet paid your $40 school fee, you can do so by using SchoolCash online or by sending in a cash/cheque with your child.
• Meet the Teacher is this Thursday from 5:30 - 6:30 pm. I hope to see you there!
• We will be practicing safety procedures this week including Fire Drill and Lockdown procedures
• This week we are beginning to review the sounds 'ou' and 'o' in literacy and will be getting back into independent reading. Students can begin bringing home books to read at night starting next week.
• In math we are working on reviewing numbers and place value to 10 000, and then will begin working with numbers up to 100 000. 
• We will enjoy a Harvest Jazz and Blues presentation this Thursday afternoon!
• Cross-Country is starting up for the year. If your child is interested in joining, they should meet with Mr Dolliver.
