It's hard to believe that we are already into our 7th week of school!  Here are a few imporant updates:

*Fundraiser is due Friday, OCtober 21

*Book Talk- Students should have chosen their book, article or other reading material for their book talk.  This is an opportunity for students to share with their peers a book that they have read.  Each students will have approximately 5 minutes to present their book.

I am looking for the following:

* Fluency- students are reading their chosen passage with expression and at a good pace (not too fast or slow).

​*Comprehension- brief summary of the book; characters; setting; what was the main idea of the story?

*Would you recommend this book to someone else to read?  Why?​

Math- This week we are working on placing numbers on a number line, estimating and a review of 3 digit addition.  We will be moving into additon/subtracting 4 digit numbers next week.
