The staff of SCS want to wish all of our students and families a wonderful, safe, summer vacation. We look forward to seeing you again in September!

Prom & Graduation

Prom - vehicle procession starts at 6:00 pm followed by the grand march in the gym and then the dance at the Old Dance Hall (ticket holders only).​

Graduation - ceremony begins at 7:00 pm and Grads will be leaving for Safe Grad directly following the ceremony.

Community members are welcome to attend both events. There will be general seating in the bleachers for those that wish to join us. Please call the office if a guest requires accommodated seating arrangements.

​The 2018-19 version of the SCS yearbook has now arrived! If you didn't pre-purchase you can still get one. Books are $55.00 which you can send in as cash or a cheque or you can also pay online and have your student pick up their book at the office. Stop in to see us anytime to get your picked up!​

2019 Kindergarten Orientation Day

Our new kindergarten class and their parents are invited to our "Welcome to Kindergarten" event, June 12th at 1:30. Students will do some activities in the classroom and then take a bus ride. Please call the school to confirm that your student will be attending. Can't wait to see you all again!

Gr.7 HPV second visit

​The Public Health nuses will be coming to SCS on Friday, May 17th to administer the second shot for the HPV vaccine. Please be sure to have breakfast in the morning, snacks for after the immunization and wear a short-sleeved shirt.

P.A.R.T.Y. Event Gr. 9 & 12

Our grade 9 & 12 students have once again been invited to the "Prevent Alcohol and Risk Related Trauma in Youth" learning day in Doaktown. The event will take place on May 16th - buses will leave at 8:30 and return for normal dismissal time. We hope all invited students will attend and engage in this very fun and informative day! Below is the permission slip that your grade 9 or grade 12 student should bring home to you for your signature. We appreciate you supporting this initiave to help keep our students safe.

Upcoming Events

Families are asked to return Report Card Reflection forms or signed copies of the report card (depending on grade level).

Calithumpians are performing for K-6 April 8th.

Friday, April 12th, will be a busy day with the 3-5s traveling to Doaktown for Circulation Volleyball and then Friday evening at 6:30 is our 2nd Family Movie Night! Come out to support the grade 3 class.​

No School for Students

Reminder to families that there is no school for students tomorrow, Mar.22 Teachers will be preparing report cards, which will go out April 1st, and participating in professional learning.
