Readers . . .

A great way to get really good at reading is to listen to someone else read! By reading out loud we learn how to make our reading flow and put expression in our voices. Check out this website :-)

New 3DP :-)

The first week of school as a smaller class has been successful and students have adjusted well to the change. We have a very busy week ahead of us. We will be working on Writing pieces to showcase at our Literacy Night on January 23rd at 6:00pm, EVERYONE is welcomed!

In class we have started a new way of studying our basic math facts, it is called "Math Wings". You will have noticed that last week I sent home a study guide, one side has the questions the other side has the answers. Students are not to fill in the answers they are to say the equation out loud and then say the answer. Saying the equation out loud will help with recall.

The weather is getting colder and your child needs to wear the proper clothing, such as ski pants, hats, mittens, winter boots and jackets. There are many students who are coming to school unprepared for the weather.
