​It has come to that time where we say ‘Goodbye’ to October already and ‘Hello’ to November. This week teacher’s engaged in Professional Learning around differentiated word work. We will begin implementing this program in our classrooms over the next month. On Friday the whole school participated in Yoga with Kelly from Breathe Space Yoga. We learned lots and are looking forward to her coming back.  

 Santa’s Little Helper- If you have not done so already, please hand in your Santa’s Little Helper fundraiser. Thank you to all that participated.

Permission Form- On Monday you will find a permission form for yearly outings. This will help us cut down on sending notices and requiring parent signatures throughout the year.  Parents will still be notified of all events, but not be required to send in forms.

Movie Night- Thank you to those that participated in Movie Night. The boys are girls have been excited all day long and are really looking forward to the evening.

Chapters Fundraiser- We are still looking for families to sign up to help at Chapters. Staff will be there throughout the night to help also. We are asking for a few parent and student volunteers to greet customers at Chapters on November 1^st and ask them to mention McAdam Avenue upon check out. We have a little treat to pass to customers to thank them for their support.  A link was sent home for you to sign up to help out. Chapters will then donate a portion of their sales that evening to MAS. So please, invite friends and families to do their shopping at Chapters on November 1^st from 6-9pm. 

 Hot Lunch- This week we will have hot lunch on Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday.

Tuesday October 31^st  - Halloween- dress in black and orange (no costumes please)

Wednesday November 1^st  - Kindergarten Reading with the REDS. Chapters Fundraiser

Thursday November 2nd- Grades 2 & 5 to visit York Care. Pizza Hot Lunch. Etsey Art After School Enrichment for grades 3-5 (3-4:30pm).

Friday November 3^rd – LHHS Clubs

November 6^th- EYE-DA screening for students entering into Kindergarten

November 9^th- Remembrance Day Ceremony

November 9^th- PSSC orientation at Oromocto Education Centre @ 6:30pm

November 10^th- No school for students. Full day Professional Learning for Teachers

November 13^th- No School (Remembrance Day- in lieu of November 11^th)

November 16^th- Grades 1 and 4 to visit York Care​
