​Happy New Year MAS families! I hope everyone had an enjoyable holiday and I am sure looking forward to getting back to school. Reminder that school begins Monday, January 8, 2018 and we will also begin our new bell schedule. Drop off will begin at 7:50am and first bell at 8:10am.

Cold Weather- Well we have had lots of cold weather over the past bit. District policy is that temperature and wind chill below -20 is the cut-off point for students to remain inside during recess breaks due to the risk of exposed skin and freezing. We check the weather network and environment Canada frequently throughout the day for temperature updates. Please be sure that your child is dressed appropriately for the weather each and every day. (scarves, neck warmers, hats, mitts (pack extra), snow pants, coats, and boots). It is also a good idea to pack an extra sweater, so they can layer up when going out. We make every attempt to get outside for fresh air daily during cold weather, even if it is for shorter recess breaks outside and split the time inside.
 
Hot Lunch- This week we will have hot lunch on Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday.

Monday January 8-  First Day back! Milk order forms go home.
 
Tuesday January 9  - Great Canadian Bagel. Intramurals.
 
Wednesday January 10  -
 
Thursday January 11 - Pizza Twice
 
Friday January 12– Leo Hayes Clubs. Tots n' Taters.
 
Important Dates:
January 15- PSSC meeting 6:00pm
January 18- Mad Science Presentation for afterschool program.
January 19- Milk order forms are due. VREDs Northside School Night.
January 29- Mad Science afterschool program starts (Every Monday till March Break)
