Hello MAS Families! We have had a great week here at MAS. Please keep in mind although Spring is here, the mornings are still very chilly and children need to be dressed for the cold weather still. As the day warms up they can dress a little lighter, but the mornings have been quite cold. 

I would like to say a big  "THANK YOU" to Helga, Bonnie, Trevor and Lacey for all your hard work this week in helping to prepare our new library space. It is absolutely wonderful and the students are so excited to visit. Thank you to our Home and School for supporting this change. Feel free to visit the library during your student-parent-teacher conferences this coming week. 
 
Information Items- 
 
Business Expo- Congratulations to our Grade 5 students and Mme. McCabe for a successful business expo. The students thoroughly enjoyed the experience with lots of wonderful learning opportunities. 
 
Drop off/Pick Up- Please read email sent earlier this afternoon in regards to reminders of our school drop off and pick procedures and routines. Please share with all family members that may being dropping off or picking up your child. 
 
Student-Parent-Teacher Conferences- Conference forms have gone home. Teachers will be sending home confirmed times with report cards. If you did not return your preferred time, teachers will assign a time. Please communicate to the classroom teacher if you cannot attend to set up a time to discuss your child's progress. This term students will come along for the conference to share their learning with you and show what they have been doing. 
 
K-2 Playhouse Performance- Forms were sent home on Wednesday April 4th about a wonderful field trip to the Playhouse to see 'Manxmouse'. Money for field trip is due back on Thursday, April 12. The cost is $4.00 per student and our home and school will kindly be contributing the remainder of the cost. 
 
Spring Clothing Swap- Reminder we are looking for clothing donations for our Spring clothing swap. Donations can be dropped at the school anytime throughout the week before Wednesday, April 11. Clothes will be in the gymnasium free for you taking on Thursday and Friday during student-parent-teacher conferences. We will also be adding some books that have been discarded from our school library. 
 
This Week- 
 
Monday April 9-  MAD Science after school-final session. Drama practice at lunch. Report Cards go home. 
 
Tuesday April 10- Bagel Hot lunch.
 
Wednesday April 11-  Drama after school 12-1:30pm. 
 
Thursday April 12- Hot lunch pizza. York Care visit grades 1 and 4. Student-Parent-Teacher Conference 4-7pm. 
 
Friday April 13- No school. Student-Parent-Teacher Conferences 8:30-11am. Teacher PL 1-3:30pm
 
Upcoming Dates-
April 16- K-2 Playhouse visit 10am. 
April 16- PSSC Meeting 6pm. Home and School Meeting 7:15pm.
April 24- 1/2 day PL. Dismissal at 11:30am.
