Hello MAS Families. Well this week has been interesting with the rising waters. I hope many of you have been able to stay dry during the flooding waters. If any of our families need any help, please let us know. I will update on Sunday if we will continue to open doors at 7:30am. This will depend on the amount of road closures still in place and traffic.
Reminder there is NO school tomorrow Friday, May 4th. Teachers are off to Saint John for our NBTA council day which is a day of professional learning with other elementary teachers from around the province.
Homework Survey Data- We had 30 respondents. 25 found the teachers pages helpful, with 5 wanting more clarification at times. 27 of our respondents do homework, with 16 having an established routine, and with 11 using the flexibility. 24 of our family respondents like the flexibility of the homework, while 6 would prefer homework given nightly. Along with the question data there were 18 written responses that offered very positive and valuable feedback that we will use moving forward. Thank you to all the families that took the time to provide us with the feedback.
Jump Rope For Heart- On Monday students will be receiving Jump Rope for Heart information packages. Tuesday morning will be our Kick off with the Heart and Stroke presentation. This is an optional fundraising event, however all monies raised goes towards a good cause.
Bike Rodeo- Wednesday, May 9th students are invited back to school at 1:30pm with their bicycles. We will have a bike rodeo course set up and the City Police will be here to go over bike safety and to check bikes over. It will be lots of fun and last about 30-45mins!
MAS Color Splash Dash- Don't forget to sign up for this FUN event! Can sign up on schoolcashonline.
Creative Clusters- We will begin Creative Clusters on Wednesday May 16th 10:30-11:45am. We will be sending home student options and ask you to go over the choices with your child. Please then have them select their top three choices.

Tuesday May 8- Bagel hot lunch. Jump Rope for Heart Presentation 9:00am.
Wednesday May 9- Travel to Royal Road school to see 'Jilliam Jiggs' presentation. Drama practice. Bike Rodeo 1:30pm
Thursday May 10- Hot lunch pizza. Grade 5s swimming at Nasis pool.
Friday May 11- Tots N Taters Hot lunch.
