Hello MAS families! Hard to believe that we say good bye to November and hello to December. We have had lots of fun snow play this week at MAS. Reminder to be sure your child is coming prepared to be outside and have extra mittens, socks, etc in bookbag.

A few reminders-

Breakfast Program-  Tuesday, December 3rd-  Scrambled eggs, toast, and fruit.

Christmas Angel Tree Families- Our Christmas tree and angels is all set and ready. The tree is in the front entrance of the school. Please stop by and take an angel or two to support our families this Christmas. When you select an angel please stop by the office and let Roxy know. You can also call and ask Roxy to select an angel for you and place in your child’s homework bag. When you return the gift we ask that it come back wrapped with the angel tag attached to the gift.

Finger Printing- Our wonderful friends at the Lions Club will be here Friday to do Finger Printing safety kits with our students. Permission forms have been sent home. If you do not wish for your child to participate, please sign and return the form. Fredericton City Police will be here also to discuss the importance of the kits and safety.

OurSchool Survey- We will be doing the survey with students in grades 4 and 5. Students perception survey gives them the chance to share with us their thoughts about MAS. The survey measures 21 indicators based on most recent research on school and classroom effectiveness.

Christmas Concert- We will be hosting our Christmas Concert on Wednesday, December 11th at 10:30. Doors will open at 10:00am. Snow date will be December 12th at 10:30am.

School Christmas Dinner- On Friday, December 13th the students will be travelling by bus to Mactaquac for some fun in the snow and for our Christmas Turkey Dinner. The cost of this trip is $3. This can be paid by cash or SchoolCashOnline.

This week:

Monday, December 2- Hot lunch- Great Canadian Bagel. Hot Lunch order forms go home for January.

Tuesday, December 3- Breakfast Program. Hot Lunch Tots N Taters. Etsey Art program afterschool 3-4:30pm. 

Wednesday, December 4- OurSchool Survey grades 4 and 5.

Thursday, December 5- Hot Lunch- Tots N Taters.

Friday, December 6- Hot lunch Papa Johns pizza. Lions Club finger printing. Ring a Bell campaign.

Upcoming Dates:

December 9- EYE-DA screener for Pre-kindergarten

December 11- Christmas Concert 10:30am. January hot lunch orders due.

December 12- (Christmas Concert snow day 10:30am) LHHS Clubs

December 13- MOCO Christmas Dinner.

December 16- Caroling at York Care Centre 1:30pm

December 18- Student Christmas Shopping Spree and Christmas Caroling 6pm followed by cookies and hot chocolate.

December 19- Art Richard Christmas Concert at Royal Road

December 20- Last day of classes for Christmas
