Hello MAS Families!  Today was our first day of our ‘Sunshine Program’ and we had a great turnout and lots of early morning exercising fun!

Reminders:

Pink Shirt Day- This year we will be doing a fundraiser through the Boys and Girls Club and offering families an opportunity to purchase ‘PINK’ shirts for Pink shirt day. Pink shirt day (February 26th), or Anti-Bullying Day, is when we come together by wearing pink shirts at school to show we are against bullying. Order forms will be going home on Monday, 20th and are due back on February 7th. Orders can be paid for through schoolcashonline.

Sunshine Program-  (Every Friday) Friday, January 24th. Students in grades k-5 are invited to be dropped off between 7:20-7:30am (Students will NOT be allowed to attend if arriving after 7:30am). Students will enter front doors and go directly to classroom and put on indoor sneakers, then head down to gymnasium. Students will be involved in an exercise and movement program. At 8:00am students will be provided with a breakfast snack- smoothie and nutrigrain bar, toast, etc.

Chinese New Year- On January 24th we will be offering a Chinese Lunch. Orders are due back on Monday, January 20th. No late orders will be accepted. Also, please note that pizza pre-orders for January 24th will be credited to Feb 7. So students not ordering the Chinese lunch will have to bring lunch on this day.

Breakfast Program- Breakfast on Tuesday, Jan. 21st will be cereal and smoothie.

Home and School and PSSC Meeting- We will be meeting Wednesday, January 22. Home and School meets at 6pm and PSSC at 7pm. All are welcome to attend.

No School January 27th- Reminder that on Monday January 27th- No school for students and Family Literacy Day.

Tuesday, January 21- Tots N Taters hot lunch 

Wednesday, January 22- Home and School and PSSC meetings. February hot lunch orders due

Thursday, January 23- Tots N Taters hot lunch

Friday, January 24- Chinese New Year Lunch. Sunshine Program. Milk orders due

Upcoming Dates:

January 27- No school for students. Teacher PL day. Family Literacy Day

January 29- Earth Rangers Visit. 2-Ball District Championship for selected students

February 10-14- Staff Appreciation Week

February 14- Valentine’s Day

February 17- No School. NB Family Day

February 26- Pink Shirt Day
