Week at a Glance Feb 3-7

Hello MAS Families!  Hard to believe January is already over and we are saying hello to February. We had an exciting assembly on Wednesday with the Earth Rangers. The students were so engaged and learned lots. I am sure many of you have heard all about it. I have a feeling we will be starting our own Earth Rangers Club at school in the near future.

 

Reminders:

 

Pink Shirt Day- Reminder PINK shirt orders are due back on Friday, February 7th. Orders can be paid for through schoolcashonline. Please be sure to send in the order form when ordering online.

 

Sunshine Program-  Every Friday! Students in grades k-5 are invited to be dropped off between 7:20-7:30am (Students will NOT be allowed to attend if arriving after 7:30am). Students will enter front doors and go directly to classroom and put on indoor sneakers, then head down to gymnasium.

 

Breakfast Program- Breakfast on Tuesday, Feb 4th will be eggs.

 

Family Literacy Night- Save the date! Wednesday, February 19th at 6:00pm we will be hosting a family literacy night here at MAS. More info to come, but we hope you can join us.

 

This Week:

Monday, February 3 – Great Canadian Bagle Hot lunch.

Tuesday, February 4- Tots N Taters hot lunch.

Wednesday, February 5- World Read Aloud Day. York Care recess snack provided.

Thursday, February 6- Tots N Taters hot lunch.

Friday, February 7- Sunshine Program. Papa John’s Pizza. Pink Shirt order forms due.

 

Upcoming Dates:

February 10-14- Staff Appreciation Week

February 10- March hot lunch order forms go home

February 14- Valentine’s Day and 100th day of school. LHHS Clubs.

February 17- No School. NB Family Day

February 19- Family Literacy Night (more info to come). March hot lunch orders due.

February 24-28- Winter Fun week. More details to come.

February 26- Pink Shirt Day

March 2-6- March Break
