​Hello MAS Families. I want to thank you for joining this week for parent teacher interviews. It is great to be able to have the chance to meet and share your students’ academic success and progress. However, please know that you are welcome to reach out at any time to talk with your child’s teacher about any concerns or question you may have.

Information items:

Lions Club Donation- We would like to share that the Nasis Lion’s Club has made a donation of $1500 towards outdoor playground equipment- activity packs, hula hoops, skipping ropes, etc.

Family Art Show- Thank you for all the wonderful artwork sent in. It has added a great touch of color and creativity to our hallway.

Parent Virtual Presentation- We have invited our District Child and Youth team to talk with our parents about children’s fears and anxiety that have developed this year due to covid. They will share ideas of how to talk with your child and strategies and ways for you to support. Please stay tuned for a date.

Outdoor Classroom- As spring has arrived so have some visitors to our outdoor classroom that are not being respectful of the property. We have begun to clean up their mess and return some of the items back to their original place. If any of our families are out and about and would like to stop in the classroom to make their presence known, or could bring some gloves and garbage bag to clean up litter, or clear out some of the wood with nails, etc. We would love to continue to have this space but will take a community effort. I feel if families visit the classroom, keep things orderly, etc. then our visitors will not see it as welcoming for them. We appreciate any help you can offer.

April 28- Administrative Professionals Day. Home and School/PSSC Meeting

May 7- NO school students. NBTA day for Staff

May 16-28- Grade 4 Provincial Assessments

May 17- NO School students. NBTA Branch day

May 24- No School. Victoria Day
