We had a busy and productive week of learning and lots of fun as well.  The highlight of our week was building Pumpkin Bridges with our grade 3/4 learning buddies!  Next week, we will shift our focus to Career week and will have lots of fun celebrating Halloween too.

Literacy - We learned Jolly Phonics sounds h,r,m and we learned new sight words and, he.  Please continue to practice these at home with your child.  We also have been working on stretching out sounds in our writing and today the children amazed me by printing some sounds they heard in their Halloween costume writing.

Next week (Oct. 30-Nov. 3) we will learn new letters Dd and Gg.  We will continue to practice and review the 8 sight words we have learned so far.

Math - We continue to practice patterns.  Please help your child by looking for and talking about different patterns they see in the world around them.  We will continue learning about patterns next week, recognizing, copying and extending them.
