Good morning!
 
Here is what we are learning in the grade 5 classroom this week...
 
French: In French, we are working towards our final fashion show. As we have a number of students absent today, we will push this activity to Wednesday, to assure that all students get the opportunity to practice.
 
Math: In Math, students are learning to relate decimals to fractions. Students will review how to identify a fraction of a whole as well as of a set.
 
Important notes...
 
Homework: SUMdog for 15-20 minutes each evening. If your child has lost their login details, feel free to email! Also, if your child is unable to complete this activity at home, they are welcome to ask to complete their homework at school.
 
TUESDAY: Tomorrow, we will be going on a FIELD TRIP! I will be taking students to Claudine's Eatery, at 146 Main Street, for a small snack.
 
We will be leaving at 10:25, and returning at 11:30.
 
Students will practice ordering and speaking in French. This is in celebration of a successful Intensive French block, and will allow students to practice their French in a real life setting. This is paid for by the school, and as we have the blanket permission form for all field trips, no permission slip is required.
 
**Please note that students will still need a snack and a lunch tomorrow!
