It’s Been a Spook-tacular Week
Happy Halloween!  We have had another wonderful week of learning this week, with new letters and sounds (Dd, Gg), sight words, continued practice with patterns and discussions surrounding Halloween safety.  The highlight of our week was our mystery guest; former MAS school principal, Mrs. Whipple, who visited our school on Thursday afternoon to present an interactive Halloween story she wrote for our very own MAS vampires, ghosts, monsters and werewolves.

On Monday, we will be celebrating Halloween with some multi-age activities in the morning (K-5 students together) and with a small classroom celebration in the afternoon.  For the next few weeks following Halloween, I would like to send a reminder that it is okay for your children to bring 1 or 2 treats with them to school; however, they must be items they can eat quickly (not suckers etc..) and I would prefer they only have 1 per meal time.

Please check your child's communication bag on Friday after school for a very informal interim assessment of your child's academic growth so far this term.  First term report cards will go out later in November.  If you have any questions or concerns regarding your child's progress, please do not hesitate to get in touch with me.
