Good afternoon parents and guardians,

This is Mme. Dionne with a few announcements for this week.

Poinsettia campaign – This is the last week of our poinsettia campaign.  This fundraiser is very important to PAMS with profits being used to cover the costs of student celebrations in May and June.  Please take a few minutes to call or text family / friends to see if they are interested in purchasing one of these beautiful Christmas plants.  They are $10 and all orders are due on Friday.

Diveristy and Respect Week - All schools in the province will be recognizing and celebrating diversity and respect this week.  We will have an assembly tomorrow to discuss the importance of this week.  On Wednesday, we invite students to recognize diversity by wearing a variety of colors to school. This will be a homeroom challenge.

National Jersey Day -  On Thursday, Nov. 15th businesses and organization throughout Canada will be celebrating National Jersey Day. At PAMS, we invite students to wear a sports jersey or clothing with their favorite team logo to school on Thursday.  Our leadership group is also having a hat day fundraiser that day – the cost is $1 to wear a hat or toque.

Thought Exchange - ASD-West is hosting a thought exchange for parents.  They want to know your ideas on the following question:

“What are some of the important things you appreciate about our district and what areas for improvement do you see?”

For information on how your voice can be heard, please visit our website for the online link.  The thought exchange is also open to students in grade 8-12.  Our grade 8’s will be given an opportunity to participate this week.  The exchange is open until Nov. 16th.

Report cards - Finally, thinking ahead to next week, report cards will be sent out next Tuesday.  Parent teacher meetings will be next Wednesday afternoon and evening (Nov. 23rd) and next Friday morning (Nov. 25th).  More information on parent teacher times will be sent out later this week.

Please visit our web site, twitter and Instagram account for more information on daily activities taking place at the school.

Have a great week everyone,

Mme. Dionne
