On October 17, 2012 students and staffs of Rothesay Elementary School and Kennebecasis Park Elementary School spelled out the word "BELIEVE" on Arthur Miller Field.
Why the word BELIEVE?
The children and staffs at Rothesay Elementary School (RES) and Kennebecasis Park School (K Park) are always trying to come up with ways to show how we care and how we respect each other. At the beginning of the year, we started discussing ways to sum up those sentiments and brainstormed key words that might help us express what type of school community we are. We decided that the word BELIEVE fit perfectly.
Why? Because we all work every day on building self-esteem in children by helping them BELIEVE in themselves. We want children to BELIEVE they can accomplish almost anything by practicing, working hard and learning every day. RES and K Park children strive to be good citizens and are told everyday to BELIEVE in a world without bullying and where respect is given everywhere and by everyone. The word BELIEVE is so powerful on its own and has so much meaning. At RES and K Park we are very proud of our students and all the hard work our staffs, parents and volunteers put into our schools. We BELIEVE in all of them and want them to BELIEVE in our schools.
