RHS Morning Announcements

·         All students interested in auditioning for Leader of the Pack – singing audition times will be added for Thursday and next Monday at lunch.  Dance auditions will be next Tuesday after school.  Submitted by:  Mrs. Shea, teacher

 

·         Band will rehearse today after school.

 

·         UNBF/SJ rep is coming back to RHS Tuesday December 6th period 2.  This is for those Grade 12s who couldn’t make it last week or those we couldn’t fit in due to room being full.  Sign up at Guidance.  Permission from teachers is required.

·         JV Boys’ Basketball defeated Hampton 80-34 in South League play.  Rothesay improves to 3-0 in conference play.  High scorers were:  Ates Ergil 14, Liam Hunter 13, Jake Lynch 12.

 

·         Reminder that yearbooks are still on sale for $50.  You can buy them in the office or online on the Rothesay High website link.  Submitted by:  Caroline Stephen

 

·         Meeting at lunch for all those helping with the SPCA project in Mr. Cook’s room.  Submitted by:  Annie Cormier, student

 

·         Only one day remains to get in your ski team forms and money!  Please bring to Mrs. Poirier/Mrs. White by Thursday so we can hit the slopes!

 

·         Hey Redhawks!  It’s that time of year again!  Our snow day predictor challenge will be starting on December 1st and you can come down to the student lounge every day at break this week and pay $2 to bet on what day will be the first snow day.  Submitted by:  Katie Hanson

 

·         Attention Grads:  We will be collecting grad baby photos on Thursday during homeroom.  This will be the only day!  You can also email your photo to rhsbabypics2017@gmail.com.  Submitted by:  Misty McKinney

 

·         Grads: Please meet in the cafeteria for a short meeting after announcements on Thursday.

 

·         November 25 – December 10 is 16 days of Orange the World, raising awareness for gender-based violence including domestic abuse, rape and child marriage.

 

·         There will be a bake sale on December 6 to raise money for Christmas Shoeboxes for homeless shelters!  This Thursday December 1st we are going to have orange day with cookie decorating at lunch to stand up against gendered violence.  $1.00 a cookie!
