This is a message from Mrs. Blanchard, Principal at Hampton Elementary School with your weekly edition of the H.E.S. Hawk Squawk. Highlights for this week include: library closed, Grade 5 sing along/Food bank Delivery, and the last day of school!

REVIEW OF THIS WEEK: Another busy week at Hampton Elementary with our Christmas concerts! We were thrilled to have two packed concerts in our gym. Thank you for your support of food, gifts and donations to the Hampton Food Basket. Today we welcomed the Saint John String Quartet for a beautiful performance.

Our library is now closed for the holidays. Please return all books so we may do a final inventory. We do this as we have found in the past, books go missing over the busy holidays while families are travelling and visiting family and friends.

Grade 5 Sing Along at HMS: Our first transition event to Middle School will be Tuesday morning when our students will visit the Middle School for a sing along as well as hot chocolate!

Hampton Food Basket – Our Grade 5 students will be walking over to the Hampton Food Basket on Tuesday afternoon to assist the volunteers in emptying and organizing the shelves for the food baskets they prepare.

Last day: We welcome students to wear their pajamas to school on Friday for the last day of school before the holidays. The last day is a FULL DAY for students.

AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAMS (Cost associated):
·        After school Robotics: The Robotics after school program will be running a Winter term this year. This is an ongoing program where prior students may enroll again to continue on their Robotics levels. It is also open to brand new students who are interested in learning about and creating Robotics. More info can be found in the attached brochure.
·        Poley Mountain Ski program: Forms available through the office. Transportation and Supervision is the responsibility of the parent.
·        Saint John and Area School String Program: see attached information
Upcoming Dates:
Ø  Dec. 21st Last day before Winter Holidays – A FULL day for students and staff

What’s happening in the Community?
The Hampton High School SRC is trying to raise money for their leadership development fund. One of the fundraisers is a Christmas babysitting service. There will be lots of supervision, crafts, games, and holiday fun. We are asking that people call 832-6024 or HamptonHS.SRC@gmail.com to confirm a spot. Unfortunately, it has come to our attention that on our original flyer, the email address was incorrect. We just want to make sure that we have the correct number of chaperones and student volunteers to accommodate all those who are interested.
