Sports:

Congratulations to the JV Boys Basketball team on defeating RPS. The team will practice from 6-7:30pm tonight.

The Varsity Boys lost a very close, nail-biter game to RPS last night – the team will practice from 4:30-6pm.

Good luck to the JV Girls Basketball team as they travel to Hampton today for a 4pm game.

Attention all QMS students interested in joining the intramural volleyball tournament. You can collect a team sign-up sheet from the gym today – all teams need to be passed in, with your $10.00 registration fee, by Monday, Feb 6th. Games will start Tuesday Feb. 7th! All students are welcome – please see Mr. Long or Mr. Robichaud if you have questions.

This is a reminder of band after school today for the Wednesday group or any band students that would prefer to come today.

Other:

Friday is Suicide Prevention Day and we are encouraging all staff and students to wear yellow to show their support for the care

We are following an assembly schedule today, we have 6 50 minute blocks. Four classes this morning and one plus the assembly this afternoon. All students will return to their HR after 5th class and will be called by grade level. Grade 8 will be called first and it may be a good idea for grade 6 and 7 classes to gather their belongings from their lockers for the end of the day while 8s are loading.

We will have VIP seating for all Students of the Month since September. You will sit on the front bench.

Pie in the Face. 5 names will be drawn live at the assembly and the winners will get to choose which teacher receives the pie!

We’ll play a couple of games for points. All classes should choose a student to do “Heads or Tails” and one student to play “Rock Paper Scissors”.
