Music News:
This is a reminder of Singing Club today at lunch.  We're preparing for our upcoming performance!
 
Sports News:
Congratulations to the JV girls basketball team on defeating BMS. The team will host MCS on Wednesday.
 
Good luck to the Varsity girls basketball team as they host Hampton today at 4:00pm.
 
The Varsity boys basketball team will practice from 5:30 – 7:00pm.
 
In grade 6 intramural Action: In semi-final action:
Colombia vs Cuba
Brazil vs Mexico
The Spicy Quanns are on to referee.
 
If you are interested in playing in a badminton tournament this weekend - there is information posted outside the gym.
 
The Cafeteria will not be available on the second level today.  The main floor is open for business.
 
Reminder to all students that for morning gym, only those with gym sneakers are to be in the school.
 
The students in 8 Miller will be collecting items for the Syrian refugees.  We aren’t collecting furniture or clothing, but rather small items like diapers, toys, hygiene products, etc.   Collection days will be February 1-February 12 in room #102.  The homeroom teachers have a list posted in their room. Let’s come together as we can make a difference.
 
Pink Day t-shirts will be on sale starting tomorrow. Homeroom teachers will be collecting the money and taking size information. T-shirts will only be on sale until next Wednesday, February 10th at a cost of $5.00 each. Please help to turn QMS into a sea of pink on February 24th.
 
2015/2016 yearbooks will be on sale, either online through the Jostens link on the QMS website or by cash or cheque during noon hour in the lobby. All yearbooks must be pre-ordered and cost $25. Yearbooks will only be on sale for a few short weeks, don’t miss out and be sorry.
 
ONLY 3 days left to purchase Locker Full of Prizes tickets for a $1.00 each or 3 for $2.00, your name will be entered in a draw for a chance to pick a combination to open the locker.  The locker is stuffed full of goodies from treats, to gift cards, stuff animals, clothing, everything.  Tickets will be on sale until this Thursday, February 4th. 
Don’t forget to bring in any Jamie Oliver stamps from Sobeys to Ms. Leach.  She is collecting them to make purchases for the Breakfast program.
