IMPORTANT! The first H&S meeting has been rescheduled to Wednesday evening, Sept 26th at 6:30pm in the cafeteria. I hope that this is a more suitable date which will allow more parents to attend. Again, please email shawna.spinks@nbed.nb.ca if you are interested in being part of the group but are unable to attend Wednesday evenings meeting.

CREW meets Wednesdays at noon in room 212. All are welcome.

Applications are now available in the office for students interested in applying for the position of ‘Manager’ of the Cougar Stop (school store). The deadline to apply is 12:00 noon on Friday, Sept 28th.

Cafeteria staff has asked that we make students aware of the following items:

*If a student is asking for a fork, spoon or knife they must pay 10 cents for the utensil. Unfortunately, the cafeteria cannot absorb the expense of giving out several pieces of cutlery each day. If you do not have 10 cents, perhaps you can wait until a friend is done, rinse theirs off and borrow it.

*If you are ordering the special, you will need a tray to carry everything that is included. Please pick up a tray at the beginning of the line by the end of the counter.

*Please have your money ready when you arrive at the cash. The staff is trying to serve dozens of people in the least amount of time and counting out your money a nickel or a dime at a time is slowing down the service.

*Only students who have money to buy their lunch or who have preordered should be in line. Please do not stand in line with your friends if you are not buying something because again, it is slowing down the service.

The table of boys who sit close to the windows and the edge of the larger part of the cafeteria are not invited back to the cafeteria for the remainder of the week. I spoke with you yesterday and there was a huge mess both on and under the table when you left.
Picture retakes will be on Thursday, September 27.

September marks the time to raise attention to Leukemia and show support by wearing orange, the recognized colour of leukemia awareness, on Friday, September 28th. Donations to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Canada will be accepted in homeroom classes or through a donation box in the main office.
