Photojournalism Contest

​Kings College is hosting a workshop and competition for students interested in journalism or photography. The workshop is open to all high school students. King's photojournalism instructor Jeff Harper will teach basic photojournalism skills and how to shoot a photo essay. This session is open to all skill levels and whether students have a DSLR camera or a smartphone camera. The workshop will take place on Sunday, February 7, at 4:00 p.m. Atlantic Time.  The photo essay contest is open to only grade 12 students. They can take the skills they learned in the workshop and use them! The winner of the contest receives a Canon Rebel SL-3 camera, King's swag, and has their photo essay shown on the King's website. Please head to our website to find more information and see examples of similar photo essays.

 

The workshop and contest are open to students regardless if they have applied to King’s or not.
