​Welcome back!

English 6:

Students will be completing a unit titled, Who Am I.  Students will also begin the novel Number the Stars during novel study on Fridays.  Students seem to be settling into middle school nicely.  Please check agendas for updates once they arrive.

English 7:

Students will be working on a unit on narratives.  Students will be writing on Tuesdays and Thursdays.  Students this year will have the opportunity to read, Underground to Canada during novel study class on Fridays.

English 8:

Students will be working on a unit on short stories.  Students will be reading The Giver during novel study class on Fridays.

English 9/10:

For the first 4 weeks, I will have my split 9/10.  During this time we will work on a unit titled, The Power of Language.  Students will have a small homework assignment due every other day.  Grade 9 students are required to read 5 novels this semester and to complete an assignment for each.  Grade 10 students are required to read 8 novels this semester and to complete an assignment for each.
