Numeracy teachers at JCS are committed to providing students with a strong foundation in mathematics from elementary through middle and high school. Teachers, students and parents all play an important role in numeracy education and we, as a staff, encourage all members of our educational community to take an active role in promoting numeracy education at JCS! 
 
Hopefully this site can provide some useful information to encourage numeracy both at school and at home! Refer to some of the numeracy resources we have made available below.

  • Math Charts
    All the math charts you can imagine to help explain various math concepts from k-12. Some provide interactive tools to use!
  • Practice, Practice, Practice
    Lots of worksheets for parents and students to use at home, k-12! Tabs at the top of page will take learners to other math topics as well.
  • Math Games
    Click on the paper in front of each grade and learners will be taken to a variety of math games for different strands of math (k-12). Please note, that these games may not directly line up with our curriculum, so you could potentially visit a few grades for various games! Some game links may not work or require certain programs on home computer.
  • Basic Skill Building
    Interactive Website for students to practice basic number skills including counting, adding, subtracting, multiplying, dividing, fractions, telling time (to name a few)
  • Math Dictionary
    An alphabetical list of math words with a visual chart to help understand the language of math.
  • Elementary Math Concepts
    A website that looks at basic number concepts and provides worksheets, as well as interactive games. Great website for elementary students or students who need to re-visit some early number concepts.
