What is a Blog?

A Blog is a Web site designed to help you share information related to a particular subject area in the form of text, images, links, and other media such as video. Blogs can be used as team sites, news sites, journals, diaries, and more.

Blog posts usually consist of frequent short postings and are typically displayed in reverse chronological order (newest entries first). Blogs encourage site visitors to interact with one another by leaving comments on posts.

Blogs can be also be used as a team communication tool. Keep team members informed by providing a central place for links and relevant news.

​Students need to complete their draft copy (5 paragraphs) for this Wednesday, April 30th. The topic is whether they would live in the country or in the city and which is better.

Grade 8 Music Field Trip (Art class)

Students in Grade 8 who are currently in Art for Exploratory will be going on a field trip tomorrow to the Sabian factory in Meductic. I already send home permission slips and most have returned this. If your child has lost theirs, please just include a note in their agenda allowing them to go for tomorrow. ​

Each student should be bringing home a list of Character Traits. Please go through the list with your child and help them pick between 10-20 that fit with who they are as a person. This needs to be completed tonight as we are going to use the words they come up with for an activity tomorrow. ​

 

Examples - ambitious, cautious, confident, cooperative, honest, stubborn, trustworthy, polite.

​Students have a writing assignment that is due tomorrow (Tuesday). Topic - pretend you are 18 and living in Canada. Its 1939 and you have the choice as to whether to sign up to fight in WWII or not. Write more than two paragraphs explaining why you would sign up or why you would choose to stay home.
