Hello! Today is Monday, January 29th and this is Ms. McGrath calling with a few messages for Raiders and their families.
 
First of all, I would like to send out a big thank you to Mr. Shiels and all of the volunteer staff and parents who helped with the Hoops Classic this past weekend. It was, as always, a great activity for our students and your support is much appreciated.
 
I would like to remind families that Attendance at school is required by law in NB and the school will send home letters for any students who have reached 10 days absent – excused or unexcused. Some of those letters will be going out this week.
 
We have a huge pile of Lost & Found items here at the school. We are putting them on display this week and asking students to take home anything they find there that belongs to them. After this week, we will be donating remaining items to the Teen Resource Center.
 
It is Kindergarten and French Immersion and High School Registration season at ASD-S. Our Gr. 8 students will be receiving their High School Registration forms later this week. If you know any families who have students entering Kindergarten, or looking to register for French Immersion for Gr. 1 or Gr. 6 entry, please let them know that is ongoing in the district at this time. Also please remember, that Gr. 3 entrance for FI is no longer an option.
 
This Friday is Groundhog Day and P L A I D Friday here at RVMS. We celebrate plaid Friday to honour diversity in our school….put on your plaid on Friday morning.
