Hello! Today is Tuesday, November 17th and this is Ms. McGrath calling with a few messages for Raiders and their families.
I would like to begin with a wonderful piece of news! In Fredericton on Saturday one of our Raider Staff, Mrs. Rose Theriault was awarded the Minister’s Excellence in Teaching Award by the Minister of Education. We are so proud of Mrs. Theriault and excited that she has been recognized for her enthusiasm, professionalism and her love of teaching. We are privileged to work with her and see her dedication every day! Please congratulate her when you see her!!
Now down to business:
1. Report Cards go home next Monday, November 23rd. Parent Teacher meetings are the evening of Thursday, November 26th and the afternoon of Friday, November 27th. If you would like to make an appointment to meet with your child’s teachers, we will begin talking calls on this Thursday, November 19th at 8:15 am. Please call 738-6500 and Mrs. Colwell will schedule an appointment time for you.
2. We had a wonderful afternoon today with our students involved in many activities from yoga & baking to skating, sketching and nature walks. Activities were designed to promote finding things in your life that you enjoy, relieve stress and make you feel great! Thanks to Mrs. Lofstrom and all of our teachers for a great afternoon!
3. Our Lost & Found is growing by leaps and bounds! We encourage students to check there for lost items and we will have these items on display next week during school and during Parent/Teacher meetings if you are missing items.
4. Our PSSC is sponsoring a Career Fair for RVMS students in January. We hope to have many members of our community available to speak with students about what they do every day at work and help students make links to the things they are learning in school. I have attached an information letter to the e-mail version of this message. If you have a job you love and you would like to share your enthusiasm with our students, or if you know someone you think fits that description, please check out the letter or contact our PSSC at paramedicnb@gmail.com.
