Weekly Messages, December 15, 2015

Hello!
Today is Tuesday, December 15th and this is Ms. McGrath calling with your weekly messages.
First of all, I do have a very, very important message to pass along to Raiders and their families. Tomorrow, Wednesday, December 16th we will be practicing our Lockdown procedures here at the school. This is a drill only. Members of the local RCMP will be watching the drill to see if there are any areas for improvement.
A few weeks ago, I forwarded a letter that tells families what to do in the event of a real Lockdown situation. I have included this letter as an attachment today as well. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions about our EMO or Lockdown procedures.
Now, a few less serious items;
1. Friday is the last day of school before the Christmas Break. It is a full day for students and teachers. Students return to school on Tuesday, January 5th, 2016.
2. Tomorrow is “Ugly Christmas Sweater Day” at RVMS. Please feel free to wear a sweater or make one to wear.
3. Thursday, December 17th we have our Christmas Dance scheduled from 6-8 pm. Cost is $5 and Santa Hats, Antlers and Elf ears welcome! In light of the date Yoda Ears would work as wellJ
4. Our Ski Club begins right after Christmas. I sent home a separate message to all Skiers/Snowboarders earlier today. Please let me know if you think you should be on that message list and I forgot to include you.
That is all for today. Have a wonderful Holiday season!! We encourage all of our Raiders to look for special ways to help their families and neighbours during this busy time of year. We look forward to  a great 2016 with our amazing Raider family!
Thank you and good evening!
