Family Literacy DayJanuary 27 is Family Literacy Day across Canada and we encourage families to check out the web site for this special day as it has all kinds of interesting suggestions for celebrating literacy at home together, not only on this day, but also throughout the year. You can visit the site at http://www.abclifeliteracy.ca/en/family-literacy-day

Peer Helpers – we are excited to have our peer helpers being supporting our younger students with minor problems during recess beginning next week.  These student leaders work under the direction of the duty teacher.  It is a great problem to build student leadership attributes with our older students.

IVS Talent Show – auditions will be taking place on Monday, Jan. 30th so students interested should be practicing their acts. Please remember to bring in your permission slip on the day of the auditions.  Good luck to all interested. It is always a great show!
