This is a message from Mrs. Blanchard, Principal at Hampton Elementary School. Here is your weekly edition of the HES Hawk Squawk.

HOT LUNCH: A reminder, the February hot lunch orders are due by January 20th which falls on a Saturday next weekend. Also to thank everyone at HES for supporting the Home and School, they are hosting a FREE PIZZA DAY on Wednesday, Feb 14th. All staff and students can order pizza on us. Keep your eye out for a bright yellow slip of paper.

BOOK SWAP: As part of National Literacy Day we will be having a book swap. Please send in your previously read novels! On January 27th all students will be able to “shop” for a new to them book.
Wednesday, January 17th is a half day for students. Our staff will be engaged in a professional learning session in the afternoon.
Mme. Aubin Martin has started a lunch hour Drawing club on Tuesday. This is open to all students and there will be an announcement each Tuesday to remind students.
PSSC MEETING: Our Parent School Support Committee comprised of many dedicated volunteers will meet Monday evening in the library.

PARENTS OF GRADE 5 ENGLISH PRIME STUDENTS:  This year parents will register their children for French Immersion programs using an online registration form. Registration deadline is January 30, 2018. Only those registering for French Immersion programs need to register. To do this: Go to https://secure1.nbed.nb.ca/sites/fsl/Pages/default.aspx Scroll to the bottom of the page and click on Register for French Immersion 2018-2019.

Our weekly Hawk Squawk is always posted on our school website under the Synrevoice tab!

Have a great weekend!

Check out the ad (in your email) which will appear in the Telegraph Journal on Wednesday, January 17th! Not only do we compost, our students are responsible for recycling cardboard, plastic, metal and milk cartons, and juice boxes. A huge thank you to all of our volunteer parents who pick up these items and bring them to the blue bins.
Fundy Recycles has also produced a radio ad congratulating our school. These ads will run for the month of January on The Wave, CHSJ (country), Kool 98 and Rock 88.9.  Hopefully our students get the chance to hear their school mentioned.
Way to go Hampton Elementary!
