March 14
Friday, March 14, 2025

Two of my favourite things being celebrated today. It’s International Chip Day and it’s Pi Day! March 14, Three Fourteen 3.141592653589 and on and on forever!

This morning grades 7 and 8 classes will be called to the gym around 9:15 am. As Mr. Stu’s email indicated, classes should place items in their lockers before coming down. The assembly will begin at 9:30 and last about an hour. Teachers should sit with their classes.

Note to students who go to the cafeteria second half of lunch. The weather and ground conditions have now improved so beginning Monday, the cafeteria will be closed during the second half of lunch. All students will need to go outside or to an open classroom. As usual, be sure that there is an adult supervising the area and be sure to have a plan before the 12:10 bell rings.

And a note about morning entry to the building. Students with classes on the top floor, you enter through the portable end doors. Students with homerooms on the bottom floor, you enter through the office doors. Line up with your grade level.

Other:

Do you like Math, are you up for a challenge? Beginning today, 3 math questions (Hard/Harder/Hardest) will be posted weekly across from the gym on the calendar board. Students can write their answer on looseleaf and submit it to a folder in the office for viewing. Correct entries will be entered for a weekly prize draw.  Three new questions will be posted every Friday and students will have one week to submit their answers. Good luck!

Monday is St. Patrick’s Day, dig out your green clothing and your shamrocks, we’re all going to dress Irish Green on Monday! Class points will be awarded.

PRIDE Passes: A grade 6 student was nominated for being quiet, on task and focused on his work. A grade 8 student was helpful in the classroom.
