Music News:
This is a reminder of grade six band after school today

Sports News:
Congratulations to the Varsity girls Basketball team on winning the George Street Middle School Tournament!
 
Congratulations to two Grade 6 students who were on a Gold Medal team on the weekend. Jane Olsen and Kate Griffin are part of the KVBA Slammers A team that won gold in their home tournament this past weekend.
 
Good luck to the JV girls Basketball team as they host Belleisle Middle at 4:00pm today - we are in need of score keepers, please see Mr. Long if you are available.
 
JV boys basketball team will practice from 5:00-6:30pm today.
 
 
 
Reminder to all students that for morning gym, only those with gym sneakers are to be in the school.
 
The students in 8 Miller will be collecting items for the Syrian refugees.  Collection days will be February 1-February 12 in room #102.  Homeroom teachers could you please post the notice in your room somewhere visible.  Together we can make a difference.
 
Pink Day t-shirts will be on sale starting tomorrow. Homeroom teachers will be collecting the money and taking size information. T-shirts will only be on sale until next Wednesday, February 10th at a cost of $5.00 each. Please help to turn QMS into a sea of pink on February 24th.
 
2015/2016 yearbooks will be on sale, either online through the Jostens link on the QMS website or by cash or cheque during noon hour in the lobby. All yearbooks must be pre-ordered and cost $25. Yearbooks will only be on sale for a few short weeks, don’t miss out and be sorry.
 
Locker full of prizes tickets will be on sale today at noon for $1.00 each or 3 for $2.00, your name will be entered in a draw for a chance to pick a combination to open the locker.  The locker is stuffed full of goodies from treats, to gift cards, stuff animals, clothing, everything.  Tickets will be on sale until this Thursday, February 4th. 
Would Jasmin Sisk and Lauren Harris please go to Mr. Donovan’s room at noon to get the camera for yearbook photos.
 
Don’t forget to bring in any Jamie Oliver stamps from Sobeys to Ms. Leach.  She is collecting them to make purchases for the Breakfast program.
